ABOUT

Hey y'all! My name is Chandler, and I am the face behind SIB.  Here is a little about me...

I have lived in Atlanta almost my entire life - forever a city girl at heart. I tried the whole college experience, down in south Georgia no less, and quickly discovered it just wasn't for me. So I decided to throw myself into the beauty industry, and attended a Paul Mitchell School in Alpharetta, GA. After a whirlwind of a journey in school, I am now a licensed cosmetologist in the state of Georgia. All of that to say, after working in a salon, I came to realize my heart truly lies with helping children. You could say "I went back to my roots," and now work in a children's development center at a church close to where I live. I have a fluffy tabby cat named Bo - he is not your average cat and is a total angel. Most of the time, you can find me either on my couch watching Netflix, or on my porch with a pen in my hand. But I also love to travel and experience new things and new places. My parents are divorced, so my family has grown in the last 3-4 years. I have one sister by blood, one step brother, and two step sisters.

I would consider myself to be an introvert, however the people I spend most of my time with seem to believe the opposite. Ha! My family and friends mean the world to me. While my life has definitely been full of ups and downs, I would not go back and change a thing. I suffer from both anxiety and depression, but I don't let that stop me from living my life. I am a daughter of the King, and hope to share my walk with Christ as freely as I can.

My main focus in creating this blog was to have an outlet - to inspire young ladies like myself, and to let them know that they are loved. Don't EVER be ashamed of who you are, no matter what. There is never anything wrong with focusing on yourself and revealing your "inner beauty." I hope to write about many different things, such as: travel, relationships, my faith, and life in general. I have stories to share, and topics I want to discuss. If I can reach just one person, and he or she can relate to me, then I would consider that a success. I would love to get to know you and hear your story, so don't be a stranger!

XO.
